Our sterilised popcorn grain bags are a speedy solution for anyone producing exotic mushroom grain spawn. Popcorn is one of the fastest-colonising grains in our collection. Popcorn tek can support rhizomorphic hyphae growth, which is a desirable form of cord-like mycelium. 

Soaked, simmered, dried, bagged, sterilised and sealed – each bag is a perfect growing medium for your favourite genetics. Popcorn is prone to overcooking, so we sterilise our popcorn grain bags for 1 hour 30 minutes at 121º to ensure sterility, whilst retaining the nutritional value of the grains.

• 70% Isopropyl Alcohol Wipe

To start growing mycelium with this popcorn bag, using aseptic technique, wipe the injection-port with the included 70% isopropyl wipe, then attach the needle to your chosen liquid culture/spore syringe and sterilise the tip of the needle. From there, insert your syringe into the injection-port and inject around 2-5ml of liquid (depending on spores/culture). For more details check out our How to use your Sterilised Grain guide.
