Collection: Wholesale Pellets For Mushroom Substrate Production

These wholesale pellets are designed for mushroom growers making substrate by the tonne rather than by the sack. Both our straight oak and masters mix blends are the same 6mm pellets we use to make our own sterile substrate bags. These pellets feature a <6% moisture content, so you can expect consistent hydration levels for reliable production batches.

To keep prices as low as possible, our wholesale pellets ship direct from our supplier on pallets rather than through us.

Wholesale Mushroom Substrate Pellets FAQs

Which Should I Choose, Oak Or Master Mix?

Master mix combi pellets include soy hulls, which raises the nitrogen content of the substrate and generally drives faster colonisation and heavier yields on gourmet species. Straight oak is cheaper per tonne and suits growers blending their own mix, or growing species that do not want the extra nutrition, like shiitake. If you already run our master mix substrate bags, the master mix pellet is the like-for-like.

How Much Substrate Will A Tonne Make?

At our 20% oak, 20% soy hull, 60% water recipe, a tonne of oak pellets makes roughly 5,000kg of finished master mix substrate. A tonne of master mix pellets at 40% pellets to 60% water makes roughly 2,500kg of masters mix substrate.

How Are Pallets Delivered?

On a standard UK pallet by pallet courier, kerbside as standard. Please leave a note with your order covering any tail lift requirements, restricted access, or whether there is an available forklift on site. We'll forward these details to the courier before dispatch.

How Should A Pallet Be Stored?

Keep the pellets dry, sealed, and off bare concrete. Sealed sacks hold below 6% moisture
indefinitely, but pellet quality will slowly degrade over time. These pellets are made fresh from order.

Can I Order More Than One Pallet?

Yes. We recommend ordering up to 8 tonnes, directly through checkout. If you'd like to order over 8 tonnes, please contact us for a quote.
