Spore Supplies is a UK mycology supply business helping people grow gourmet and exotic mushrooms, from a first bag at home to regular production.

We supply sterile grain, substrates, Magic Myc® All-In-One (AIO) Bags, liquid cultures, and cultivation equipment, alongside practical guides to help you choose and use your mushroom growing setup.

From Spore House to Spore Supplies

    Spore House

    Before Spore Supplies, there was Spore House: a mushroom-growing project in a disused bank. These early setup days taught us how much a successful grow depends on reliable equipment and properly prepared materials.

    Learning by Growing

    Pressure cookers, a flow hood, and plenty of practical growing experience shaped our next step. Spore Supplies launched on 28th June 2024, to make reliable prepared grain and substrates more accessible to other growers.

  • Spore Supplies Beginnings

    Starting from our unit in Watford, production quickly scaled up. We began producing larger volumes of sterile mushroom growing supplies for our customers throughout the UK.

Beyond Business

We have also taken part in the wider UK mycology community. Spore Supplies' co-founder, Louis collaborated with The Culturing Dish on the first Bristol Myco Network Meet-Up, which brought people together for a fungi walk and an evening community event.

Spore Supplies has provided native liquid cultures and sterile supplies for research on the use of local fungi in the decomposition of plastics. We're always interested in getting involved with mycology projects in the UK, so please reach out with any opportunities that we may be able to support.
