Description
Description
CVG substrate bags are ideal for growing exotic and functional mushroom species. This classic tek mix of coco coir, vermiculite and gypsum will create the perfect environment for your mycelium. We test optimal field capacity on every batch, so your fungi strains will enjoy a perfect moisture level that boosts yields.
All of our substrates are sterilised in our medical-grade autoclave for 1 hour and 30 minutes, with at least a pressure of 15 PSI. This gives our blocks enough time at a minimum of 121ºC to reach the centre of the bag, ensuring all micro-organisms are killed off. We then open the autoclave inside our cleanroom and heat seal the mushroom grow bag in front of a laminar flow hood to stop any contaminants getting in.

How To Use
How To Use
To use this CVG bag (using aseptic technique) cut along the top of the bag and add colonised grain spawn (sold separately). Use up to 1kg of spawn with the 2kg CVG bag and up to 1.5kg with the 3kg version. Then, seal the block back up using either a zip tie or heat sealer. To finish off, mix the spawn and substrate evenly before popping your block in ideal growing conditions for colonisation. From there you can simply leave the rest of the work to the mycelium! Check out our How To Use Your Substrate guide for more detailed advice.
