Our 3kg CVG substrate bags are ideal for growing exotic and functional mushroom species. This classic tek mix of coco coir, vermiculite and gypsum will create the perfect environment for your mycelium. We test optimal field capacity on every batch, so your fungi strains will enjoy a perfect moisture level that'll boost yields. 

All of our substrates are sterilised in our medical-grade autoclave for 1 hour and 30 minutes, with at least a pressure of 15 PSI. This gives our blocks enough time at a minimum of 121ºC to reach the centre of the bag, ensuring all micro-organisms are killed off. We then open the autoclave inside our cleanroom and heat seal the mushroom grow bag in front of a laminar flow hood to stop any contaminants getting in.

To get started with this bag (using aseptic technique) cut along the top of the bag and add up to 1.5kg of colonised grain spawn inside. Then seal the block back up using either a zip tie or heat sealer. To finish off, mix the spawn and substrate evenly before popping your block in ideal growing conditions for colonisation.
