If you’re looking for bulk CVG mushroom substrate, we have you covered. Our 10 x CVG 3kg Mushroom Substrate Bulk Bundle will sort you out. Blended with coco coir, vermiculite and gypsum, each bag is mixed well and hydrated before being tested for optimal field capacity. Once ready, the substrate is placed into large autoclavable Unicorn grow bags. This substrate mix is perfect for growing exotic and functional mushroom species and you can add up to 1.5kg of colonised grain spawn to each. 

All of our substrates are sterilised in our medical-grade autoclave for 1 hour and 30 minutes, with at least a pressure of 15 PSI. This gives our blocks enough time at a minimum of 121º to reach the centre of the bag, ensuring all micro-organisms are killed off. We then open the autoclave inside our cleanroom and heat seal the mushroom grow bags in front of a laminar flow hood to stop any contaminants from getting in.

To get started with these kits (using aseptic technique) cut along the top of each bag and add up to 1.5kg of colonised grain spawn per bag inside. Then seal the blocks back up using either a zip tie or heat sealer. To finish off, mix the spawn and substrate evenly before popping your blocks in ideal growing conditions for colonisation.
