Description
Description
This Sterilised Millet Grain bag is the ideal choice for getting your mycelium started off. Our millet gets soaked for 24 hours, then drained to dry the outside of the grain, whilst leaving moisture on the inside, helping your mycelium strains grow. Plus, our sterile grain bags come with a handy Injection-port to shoot your spores or liquid culture into.
All of our grain bags are sterilised in our medical-grade autoclave for 2 hours and 30 minutes, with a pressure of at least 15 PSI. This gives our blocks enough time at a minimum of 121ºC to reach the centre of the bag, ensuring all micro-organisms are killed off. We then open the autoclave inside our cleanroom and heat seal the grain bag in front of a laminar flow hood to stop any contaminants getting in.

To start growing mycelium with this millet bag, using aseptic technique, wipe the injection-port with the included 70% isopropyl wipe, then attach the needle to your chosen liquid culture/spore syringe and sterilise the tip of the needle.
