The 1kg Magic Myc® All In One Mushroom Grow Bag is perfect for anyone looking to grow their favourite fungi strains quickly. This 1kg Magic Myc® mushroom growing bag can yield around 300g of fresh mushrooms in as little as four weeks – thanks to the specific blend of milo, millet, coir, vermiculite and gypsum it contains. You can grow almost any species using this bag, but it's ideal for gourmet and exotic mushrooms. Just insert a spore or liquid culture syringe (sold separately) into the bag’s self-healing injection port to get started. 

How does this bag work so well? It features the perfect ratio of grain to substrate, for a start. But before adding grain to the mix, we hydrate our substrate to optimal field capacity to provide higher yields. Worried about contamination? Mould and bacteria have nothing on us! Each Magic Myc® bag is sterilised inside our medical-grade autoclave for 2 hours and 30 minutes at a minimum of 15 PSI for good measure.

How To Use

This sterile Magic Myc® bag is designed to grow mushrooms using liquid culture (sold separately), but you can also use spores. To get started (using an aseptic technique), wipe the bag and syringe with the included wipes, then inject the bag with up to 5ml of culture. Give the mycelium a couple of weeks to grow and then let it fruit once the inside of the bag is covered in healthy white mycelium. Storage Instructions

All sterile bags should be removed from any delivery packaging immediately after being received. This allows the filter patch to breathe, which prevents moisture from passing through the filter and drawing contaminants into the bag.

We recommend storing the bags upright, in a cool, dark place like a cupboard, for up to 7 days to observe that the bag is sterile before use. Do not store in the fridge. All bags can be stored for up to 6 weeks, but should be used as soon as possible. Our sterile bags are covered by our sterile guarantee, so in the unlikely event that your unused bag contaminates within 30 days of receiving it, please contact us for a replacement.

We ship most orders using the DPD Next Day service, so in most cases, you can expect to receive it the next day (if ordered before the cutoff).

Is this a magic mushroom kit?

Hi Matt, appreciate the question! No, this 1kg all in one bag is not intended for magic mushrooms. It's currently illegal to grow magic mushrooms (psilocybin mushrooms) in the UK. This 1kg mushroom grow bag should only be injected with legal gourmet and exotic mushroom species. If you're concerned about using the wrong ones, all the liquid cultures we stock are legal to grow, wheras 'microscopy spore syringes' are often magic mushroom spores that should not be used with this kit.

Do I need to break and shake this kit?

This all in one mushroom grow kit features a unique blend of grain and substrate that means you can either break and shake it, or not – it's completely up to the way you prefer to do things! Standard all in one kits have the grain at the bottom and the substrate at the top, which means it'll need to be mixed at some point to ensure a proper grow. This AIO kit doesn't require that, but giving it a break and shake can still help to speed up the colonisation of your mycelium, which will help you harvest your mushrooms sooner.
