Collection: Oyster Mushroom Growing Kit

Oyster mushrooms are the easiest gourmet species to start with, and this collection has everything you need to grow them at home. Choose a UK-native Branched Oyster (Pleurotus cornucopiae) or Tarragon Oyster (Pleurotus eunosmus) liquid culture (LC). Then pair it with a sterile wood-based All-In-One (AIO) grow bag for the simplest route, or with sterile grain and Masters Mix substrate for larger yields. Every bag is sterilised in our medical-grade autoclave — so your oyster mushrooms start from a completely clean slate.

Oyster Mushroom Growing Kit FAQs:

Which Oyster Mushroom Should I Grow First?

Both of our oyster liquid cultures (LCs) are rated beginner level. Branched Oyster grows as multiple caps branching from a main stem, while Tarragon Oyster has a distinctive tarragon-like aroma and tolerates warmer conditions.

Can I Grow Oyster Mushrooms In An All-In-One Bag?

Yes. Our wood-based All-In-One (AIO) bags contain rye grain, soy hulls and oak pellets, so you can inject 2–5ml of your oyster LC through the injection port and skip the separate spawn step entirely.

What's The Difference Between An AIO Bag And Masters Mix?

An AIO bag holds grain and substrate together — simply inject it and leave it to colonise. Masters Mix is a hardwood and soy hull substrate that you combine with colonised sterile grain, which adds a step but gives you more control and larger yields.

What Temperature Do Oyster Mushrooms Need?

Branched Oyster colonises and fruits at 18–25°C. Tarragon Oyster colonises at 21–25°C and fruits at 21–32°C. Fresh air and high humidity trigger fruiting, so keep a misting bottle to hand.

Do You Sell Pink Or King Oyster Cultures?

We don't. Our liquid cultures focus on UK-native strains. Check out our guide on why growing UK-native strains is important for more info.
