How do I reduce contamination rates when doing grain-to-grain (G2G)?
Use a certified HEPA flow hood (H14 if possible), flame sterilise your tools, and keep transfer times short. Only use spawn jars or bags with vigorous, white growth and no wet spots. Shake jars/bags before the G2G transfer to free kernels. Clean the work area using isopropyl (70%), and move your hands slowly. Close jars/bags quickly and label batches to track issues.
